Books make lovely gifts. Any handmade bookmarks would certainly make a book more personal and special. Perfect to pop in a Christmas card for the teacher or tuck in with a book for Dad. Easy for children to make as well - they can use scissors to cut it out and all you have to do is cut the slot. For younger children you can do all the cutting and they can do the pasting and decorating.
MATERIAL
- A Thick Paper( prefferably Recycled Paper) 2.25" x 6.75" or 2"x 8"
- A small paper Strip
- Ribbon
- Hole Puncher
- Fevicol
- Some Embelishments like sworoski Stones, butterfly buttons etc.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut a paper strip of bigger dimension first. Then take any wrapping paper or any different color paper and cut the smaller dimension strip, and a flower shape.
- Stick Smaller Strip over Bigger Strip using Fevicol. Let it dry completly for some time.
- Take darker paper and cut out some petal shapes and a untidy strips.
- Then punch a hole at the top center of the Bookmark you made by sticking papers. Insert the ribbon in the hole and tie a knot to make the marker.
- Add cuttout petals and then flower over the base. put the stones or Buttons on the bookmark. You can also write some slogan using Scketch pens.
